About the instructor:
Carly Jean Puch grew up in Grand Marais, Minnesota, and loves getting to teach yoga in her community.
In college, Carly experienced what she now knows was anxiety. After taking a weekly class and feeling how it calmed her mind and body, she kept practicing. She worked as an advocate for trauma survivors, leading her to see the power of yoga in releasing trauma from the body.
Carly received her 200-hour training at Yoga North in Duluth, MN. Yoga North, "draws on unique techniques based on the Yamas & Niyamas and a progressive approach to classic yoga using somatics, therapeutic yoga and bridging these techniques back to classic postures/asana." She has a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teaching Certificate from Svalja Yoga and a Kids Yoga Teaching Certificate from Kids Yoga Stories.
Both within her own practice and in teaching others, she works to honor the teachers and practitioners who came before us.
